Jackson-Frazier Wetland - Boardwalk Project

Benton County Natural Areas, Parks & Events, AFRANA, partners, and volunteers continue the effort to replace the boardwalk. The new boardwalk will follow roughly the same footprint as the existing structure We have been able to complete the environmental and permitting work.   Together we have already raised over $1.2 million in state funding and private donations.

The boardwalk continues to deteriorate which makes finding further funding a priority.  We continue  to work with Congressional, State, and local partners to secure the remaining funding to complete this priority project.   We are requesting federal funding to help meet the rising costs of construction.

Help Replace the Boardwalk

If you would like to see the reconstruction of the boardwalk move forward, please reach out to the Benton County Commissioners and Congressional Representatives and let them know.
